Controlling vehicle entry and traffic management
on commercial property, car parks and private residential estates
How do commercial and car park barriers work?
Barriers can prevent drive-through traffic but keep access open. The settings can allow all access during a set timeframe. Outside that timeframe, drivers must contact the control room through an audio/visual system to be allowed to enter.
How do barriers work on private residential estates?
As with commercial installations and car parks, on residential estates these barriers can prevent drive-through traffic, but allow access during a set timeframe.
We can also integrate more sophisticated residential barriers with a CCTV system and Automobile Plate Recognition (ARP). The CCTV system reads the approaching vehicle's registration plate, and searches its pre-approved database for a match. If it finds a match, the barrier lifts automatically. If not, the driver must contact the control room through an audio/visual access control system to be allowed to enter.
